Basement waterproofing in Cambridge.
Leaking cracks, damp stone walls and sump pumps that can't keep up. We find where the water gets into your Cambridge basement and stop it, backed by the No Leak Guarantee.

Where the Speed meets the Grand.
Cambridge is built where the Speed River joins the Grand, and it has history with high water. In May 1974 the Grand flooded downtown Galt, putting some streets under as much as six feet of water, and berms were built along both banks afterwards. The City still keeps a temporary flood wall it can put up when the river rises, most recently used in an emergency during an ice jam in February 2018, at the Concession Street Bridge.
Most basement leaks we see here have nothing to do with the river, though. They come from cracks, ageing walls, tired weeping tile and window wells that fill up in a storm, like the August 2016 storm that left basements flooded around the city. Older homes in Galt, Preston and Hespeler are the most likely to have stone foundations, which let water through as their mortar wears out.
The ground changes from street to street. The Cambridge area mixes glacial till with large sand and gravel deposits, so drainage on one lot can be very different from the next. We look at grading, downspouts and what's around your foundation before we recommend anything.
