Foundation repair in Cambridge.
From Galt's 19th-century stone core to the newer subdivisions on the edges of the city, we repair, underpin and build foundations across Cambridge. Our own crew, engineered where required, quoted in writing.

Three old towns, two rivers, one city.
Cambridge was formed in 1973 from Galt, Preston, Hespeler and parts of the surrounding townships, and the houses still show it. The City describes the Galt core as early 19th-century development with unusually fine stone masonry, Dickson Hill in West Galt is a heritage district that was built up over several decades, and Preston and Hespeler each have their own old village cores. Around them are decades of newer subdivisions.
That mix matters underground. Century homes often sit on stone or early concrete foundations that were built for a cellar, not a full-height basement, so a lot of our Cambridge work is underpinning, wall repair and rebuilding failing sections. Newer homes bring different jobs: settlement cracks, a garage or porch footing that's moving, or an owner who wants a walkout.
The ground plays a part too. Cambridge sits where the Speed River meets the Grand, on ground that mixes glacial till with large sand and gravel deposits left by meltwater. Soil changes how we dig, shore and drain, so we look at your lot before we price anything.
What we see most in Cambridge
- Low basements in century homes that need underpinning
- Stone or rubble walls bulging or losing mortar
- Bowing or stair-step cracked block walls
- Settlement cracks in newer poured foundations
- Sloped lots where owners want a walkout
- Additions and garages that need a proper foundation
