Foundation repair in Burlington.
From Roseland's 1930s homes to the newer streets of Alton Village, we repair, underpin and build foundations across Burlington. Our own crew, engineered where required, quoted in writing.

A postwar city with older pockets.
Burlington grew fast after the Second World War. The population went from about 6,000 in 1951 to more than 87,000 by 1971, helped by the 1958 annexation of Nelson Township and Aldershot. Older pockets like Roseland, laid out in the 1920s, and Aldershot's 1940s and 1950s bungalows sit alongside 1980s and 1990s neighbourhoods like Headon Forest, Millcroft and The Orchard, and the newer streets of Alton Village.
Foundations from that postwar boom are now 60 to 75 years old. That's the age when block walls start to bow, stair-step cracks open up and low basements become a problem for owners who want to finish them. In newer homes we're more often dealing with settlement cracks, sinking garage and porch footings, or a walkout on a sloped lot.
The city runs from the lakeshore up to the Niagara Escarpment, with creeks like Appleby, Tuck, Rambo and Grindstone cutting through it. Lots against the escarpment in Brant Hills and Tyandaga suit walkouts but need careful shoring and drainage, and homes near the creeks see wetter soil against their walls. We look at the lot as well as the foundation before we price anything.

- Stair-step cracks and settling corners
- Low basements that need underpinning to finish
- Sinking garage and porch footings
- Sloped lots near the escarpment that suit a walkout
- Additions that need a proper new foundation
